Warning lights that come on when you turn the key to ON or START are doing that just to prove out that the bulbs are good, not that you have a problem.

For the hes, clean the MAF sensor wires inside the MAF sensor with spray carb cleaner. MAF is in big hose to throttle body.

After I drove my Ford 2002 Taurus se I parked it and it wouldn't start my gas cap light came on then I waited a little bit then my car started what is wrong

Well the gas cap light means the gas cap may be loose. The actual condition for the light to come on is when the engine computer tests the fuel tank venting system for leaks. The no start problem could have been too much or too little pressure in the fuel tank which could also make the gas cap light come on.

just because the light is back on, doent mean its the same thing. thats a lot of money spent on just those problems. (WAY TOO MUCH) Take it back and have them ck it again, or find a shop that knows what they are doing.

ECU compatibility

You can try to replace with a similar unit, but typically Ford ECUs have to be "reflashed" by the dealer. Ford has numerous calibration codes and various other vehicle specific information that can only be managed with Ford certified (dealer) programing devices. I hope this helps

1997 ford taurus will not start

voltage is not really the issue here, the amperage is the thing that make things go.
you battery may have 1 or 2A, but hte bettery still reads 12v.
are you getting any gas to the engine.?
try a new battery, and give it a short bust, not a long cranks. and give enough gas in between the bust.
