Acceloration ok when you start the car, the gas pedle must be pumped or it dies. Then it won't go over 50 miles an hour unless it is going down hill.

As I just said in my last post It sounds like you have a fuel injector that is stuck open. Is there a strong gas smell in your exhaust?

A fuel injector is definately hanging open. Did you try disconnecting the battery terminal and turning on the ignition for ten minutes yet. This will reset your ECM and may Reset your injector controller also. It will not fix the problem if the injector went bad it will have to be replaced. Hope you find this helpful.

Change the gas filter if you havn't already done so. It sounds like fuel restriction to me or perhaps a faulty fuel pump or cheap gas has blocked the gas filter. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Try replacing the fuel filter first and the primary fuel filter screen in the fuel pump may be dirty also. As for the the one in the gas tank which is a part of the fuel pump, your just going to have to keep the gas tank half full and add some fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank for the next feet fill ups. As for the fuel filter along the frame rail on the drivers side, they have a life of 30,000 miles or 1 year and needs to be replaced within those recommended intervals. Good luck and hope this helps, Note: the gas is what keeps the fuel pump cool, so low fuel in the gad tank will have the fuel pump run hotter causing it to fail prematurely
