Since you have no mechanical ability, and no knowledge even of where it is located, hire a service mechanic to do the work - unless you want to fail miserably and then hire a mechanic.

If the pump still makes noise, you may just have clogged nozzles, have you tried those yet? Also, if you have windshield cleaner left over from summer, it may have frozen in the lines.

SOURCE: how to remove front windshield from a 1996 ,2.4 liter Dodge Carav

There are tools to do this but you are better off having a pro take it off and re install it for you, granted he may charge the same price of almost 200 bucks to do so which is about the cost of a new windshield ( without any heating element in them for defrost) but it will save you grief, otherwise i believe they use a steel wire with two handles to slice the adhesive between the glass and body then they carefully push it out of the frame YOU MAY BREAK YOUR WINDSHIELD DOING THIS IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE.

Hi,
Whenever a system stops working - Always check the fuse first. These are designed to blow if the blades get stuck by ice etc.
Check the wipers are free to move and not stuck, then replace the fuse with on of a similar value.
Inside the fusebox there should be a plastic clip that may make removal easier.
As both systems often use the same fuse - I would think that's the fault

02 grand caravan. front & rear washers do not work. could this be vacuum related?

I wouldn't think so, the windshield and rear window washer are operated with independent pumps in their respective reservoir. I would check fluid levels and washer fuse(s)
