YOU will just have to trace which way they go as both sides leak. so cant tell you which one it is without seeing vehicle. best to replace both sides if never done once one set leaks the other is usually rt behind it.

I have a bad oil leak.Where can it be coming from

There are several possible sources for an oil leak in a vehicle. Some common sources of oil leaks include:
Oil pan gasket: The oil pan gasket seals the oil pan to the engine block. If the gasket becomes worn or damaged, it can allow oil to leak out.
Valve cover gasket: The valve cover gasket seals the top of the engine and helps prevent oil from leaking out. If the gasket becomes worn or damaged, it can allow oil to leak out.
Oil filter adapter: The oil filter adapter connects the oil filter to the engine block. If the adapter gasket becomes worn or damaged, it can allow oil to leak out.
Oil cooler lines: If your vehicle has an oil cooler, the oil cooler lines can develop leaks over time.
Engine oil cooler hose: The engine oil cooler hose connects the oil cooler to the engine. If the hose becomes damaged or develops a leak, it can allow oil to escape.
To determine the source of the oil leak, it will be necessary to visually inspect the engine and related components. It may also be helpful to use a dye or UV light to help identify the source of the leak. If you are unable to locate the source of the leak or are not comfortable attempting to fix it yourself, it is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic.

Why my bad motor in escape didnt have oil cooler and replacement did?

Could be a mod after market, or a change duiring production and you go the other style engine. Not a bad thing to have, will keep the engine running much cooler, prolong oil and engine life, and a bit better gas mileage.

Radiator sludge

Hello Todd, sitting here thinking about it only 2 things comes to mind. First question is it is an automatic. If so then your transmission oil cooler inside the radiator has a leak which in turn it leaking transmission fluid into the radiator. So if it is the transmission do you see any red gunk in the radiator or the water. Now same process if it is motor oil if it is a manual transmission. These new vehicle have motor oil flowing through the radiator to cool off the motor oil also known as the oil cooler. 9 times out of ten all you have to do is buy a new radiator or remove the metal or rubber lines running to the radiator and splice them together with high pressure hose. Which I recommend power steering return 3/8 hose, tough stuff. Just slide the rubber hose over the tube and clamp it down tight with a hose clamp and give it a whirl. But first I recommend you flushing the radiator. Good luck.

We need to know if the radiator has an enigine oil cooler in it so we know which one to buy

if you get under the car on the driver side were the oil filter is and look were the filter screw onto the motor,if you see 2 large lines coming from the plate that the filter screws onto going to the front of the motor and attach to the lower rad then you have an engine oil cooler in the radiator.there will be lines that come from the transmission to the radiator that are considerably smaller.

Oil leak from the hose an 1995 oldsmobile aurora

Mostly likely it's coming from the oil cooler lines from the motor to the radiator. My friend's Aurora has the same leak, we replaced the oil pressure sending unit, which is close by the lines, but the lines, where the compressed part of the fitting was leaking there. The oil cooler lines will have to be replaced.

Need to replace remote oil filter lines that are starting to leak

You're going to need an engine lift and wheel ramps or jack and jack stands. Remove the left motor mount through bolt and block up with wooden block. Take the splash shield off the bottom of the motor. You know the panel that the oil filter is behind. Do the oil cooler lines screw into the radiator or are they retained by quick disconnects i forget? You'll need a one long extension and a swivel to get the bolt at the engine boss. The rest of the lines are pretty self explanatory.

Transmision line directly under lower radiater house is leaking.how to fix? 6.0 liter 2001 chevy 107000 miles

You've got one line going into the radiator and that line exits on the other side. If the leak is outside of the connection and you have enough room to add a few inches of hose to correct it, then just go to a parts store and buy a hose splicer, and 2 clamps to fix.

If the leak is too close to the radiator, buy yourself a small add on transmission cooler & extend the hoses to run to it to cure the problem.

Either way isn't that expensive. The cooler has basic instructions and is fairly easy to install in-line to correct the leak.

good luck

Oil cooler lines leaking. Motor losing all the oil within 10 minutes.

Inspect where the oil is leaking from the oil cooler line, it's common for the oil to leak from the remote oil cooler line adapter bolt on the engine block. You can remove the two bolts one at a time and place a oil drain plug washer with some RTV silicon to ensure that it will not leak.

The other common place for the oil line to leak is from where the rubber lines mate to the aluminum line from the remote oil filter line adapter. This is also a simple fix but you're going to need a drumlin tool cut off the old compression clamp that was press fit. Cut off the old compression fitting ring, use cation that you only cut off the ring and replace it with a new compression clamp. Make sure you use compression clamps and not a hose clamp.

This is the best way to fix the oil leak from the adapter line to the rubber hose line, to replace the whole line with the new adapter is expensive and i believe your have to disconnect the engine mount to raise the engine to clear enough room to install the new line along the frame.

Good luck and don't use any engine oil stop leak, it will damage your oil pressure relieve valve and that's one extra thing you don't need to replace.

Oil hose leak 97 4x4 Blazer

Oil cooler lines that lead to your radiator or to a cooler mounted in front of radiator. The hoses are quick couplers with o-rings so there is no way to tighten. I don't know why they would leek so often but they usualy go bad where the rubber line gets crimped to the steel line. Not sure if you can get a different oil filter block without the oil cooler line hook ups. This way you can eliminate the cooler lines,or remove the quick couplers at both ends of where your cooler lines hook up and just run hydraulic hoses in place of your coller lines.Where i live you can get hydraulic hoses made at hundreds of places but may not be so redily avalible where you are.
