Problem with Volvo 2007 V40

Hi There.

Could you please tell me where the engine management main processor / box is located on the V40 TD5 if it exists.....or am I using the incorrect term and the engine management is

classed as that which includes all the sensors. My garage sprayed or cleaned a sensor or two to stop falsely triggered warning messages and vehicle sometimes not starting up,, a couple of years ago, which did the trick.

Just wanted to do it myself this time and save on some time and cost...as it has now stated the same problem again.

Hi, I managed to find a graphic illustration of the ECT sensor.

The best thing is to go to your local Volvo maintenance shop or Volvo experts to find out whats the problem..usually the coomon ones I think is the programs inside its ECU unit..you try this..ask the volvo experts to reset the ECU and lets see..if problem arise then it is no doubt you might need the sensor..hope this help..
