2004 GMC Yukon Denali - Squealing within the interior

Our 2004 GMC Yukon has (I think) a fan issue, but from where?
With the cab Fan off or on, with the AC off or on, mainly when driving, not sitting in traffic, high pitch squeal that SEEMS to come from Interior Fan.... off coarse, when you go to the Doctor, or in this case the Dealer, it does not squeal, so the Dealer states no idea what the issue is or how to fix.
Any Idea's on this?? It started this Spring, we are in Idaho, not Iowa, we are near Oregon and Washington. Note: it does not Seem to be the belt engine fan but????

High pitch squeel usually comes from the cambelt

high pitch squeel usually comes from the alternator belt (not cam mistype), not the fan, just check your motor, the fan is in front of radiator, and usually does not sqeal, sometmes make a rather scratching noise.
The AC belt instead typically makes a rather squealing high pitched noise, sometimes all the time, or when you accelerate. It is easy to fix, by replacing it or putting it back in tension.

To fix it you put in tension the alternator (serpentine|) belt by moving the gear than sustains the belt.
Here is a link on how to fix serpentine belt.
If the noise happens when you turn the steering
wheel then look also to the power-steering belt.

2008 GMC Yukon denali front heater fan won't come on checked fuses all look good rear fan works need help thanks. It's cold in ND this time of year supposed to get below zero later this weekend

If your fan works on high only, you may had a bad blower motor resistor. But if it doesn't work at all and the fuse is good, I would start by checking the fan itself. If you have or can get a 12volt test light (at local parts store), you can access the 2 wires that lead into fan and check for power and ground. Your fan is located on the passenger side behind the glove. Since you have a GM, you should have a cover that can be removed towards the very bottom. Remove cover and bottom of fan should be exposed. Clip the alligator side of test light to a good ground, then probe the 2 wires at bottom of fan. One wire should light up if you have power going to fan. If it does, you have a bad fan motor. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

2005 yukon denali xl heater fan stop working the front work sometime

I have a pontiac that had the same issue. It was a corroded connection at the blower fan. Usually located at the back of the engin comp, on whats called the fire wall. I cut off the original connector and installed aftermarket electrical slotted female clips. There are only two wires so it was easy and fast. you shoud see two slot style pins sticking out from the fan housing underneath the rubber electrical cap. Second possibility is a fuse. Check your manual for location and size.

you need to replace your water pump. The pulley you speak of is on the water pump, and when the seal goes out, it leaks in that specific spot.
