I don't know specifically fix this problem, but I do know that there was a recall on the fuse for the screen that runs the nav system. Mine went out and I called Honda, and they put a new one in for free. They extended the warranty and as long as your car is under 100k miles they will replace it, you might look into that??

Need to know rocker torque on 3.5v6 and all so i think i know but i need you to tell me,i torqued 20ftlbs-40ftlbs then a 140 degrees what does that mean?a 140 degree turn?

A circle is 360 degrees. If you moved the pointer on a clock from '12' through 360 degrees, the pointer would be back at 12 - having travelled 360 degrees in a complete circle.

Half a circle is 180 degrees - if you moved the clock pointer from '12' through 180 degrees it would point at '6'.

A 140 degree turn just means that you turn the bolt clockwise through 140 degrees. Put a small mark on the top of the bolt - at the 12 o'clock position then turn the bolt until the mark is at about where '5' would be on a clock face.

It is actually located behind the navigation screen.

Turn off the radio.
Press and hold the CD eject button until the display unlocks (about 10 to 15 seconds).
Let screen move outward and rotate downward.
Press the DVD eject button just exposed behind the display.
Remove DVD, insert new one.
Rotate display upwards and press gently on all four corners to slide and lock display back into original position.
Turn on radio, navigation DVD should start update process, let it finish.

Nav system

Installing the DVD Map Disc Your dealer/retailer may have installed the map DVD. If the map DVD was not installed, do the following to load it:
Read the following steps completely.
  1. Turn the ignition on. The vehicle must be in P (Park) to perform this operation.
  2. Press (power) to turn the navigation system on.
  3. Press the NAV hard key.
  4. Touch the Insert Map Disc screen button. The screen opens to access the map DVD slot.
  5. Load the map DVD partway into the slot. The system pulls it in. The screen cannot be closed until a double beep is heard.
Notice: Pressing directly on the navigation screen may cause damage. Repairs would not be covered by the vehicle's warranty. Do not press directly on the navigation screen.
  6. To close the screen, slightly push up on the two outer corners until the screen is in position. Then push the screen in by pushing on the four outer corners until a click is heard.
  7. Set the search area. See "Setting the Search Area" earlier in this section.
Ejecting the DVD Map Disc The navigation portion of the system cannot be used if the DVD map disc is not loaded.
  1. Press the MENU key to enter the Menu options, then press the MENU key repeatedly until Nav is selected or touch the Nav screen button.
  2. Touch the Map Database Information screen button.
  3. Touch the Eject Map Disc screen button. The screen tilts, exposing the map DVD slot.
  4. Press the eject button, located next to the DVD map disc slot, and the disc ejects. Pull the disc out. The screen cannot be closed until a double beep is heard.
Notice: Pressing directly on the navigation screen may cause damage. Repairs would not be covered by the vehicle's warranty. Do not press directly on the navigation screen.
  5. To close the screen, slightly push up on the two outer corners until the screen is in position. Then push the screen in by pushing on the four outer corners until a click is heard.

Pop up navigation screen

We also have a 2005 with the same problem. When the screen pops up, the upper limit is determined by the number of revolutions of the motor, not the actual position of the screen. Over time, this limit seems to go out of adjustment.
To "trick" the limit, while the screen is moving up, quickly press down or tap on the screen so it momentarily moves downward then resumes raising as soon as you let go of it. When done correctly, the screen should raise fully; if you hold it too long, the screen will retract. We have been using this method for over a year now, and it has never failed. Hope this helps.
