Question about 2006 Suzuki Swift

1 Answer

Hi there, I have a 2005 model Suzuki Swift which at the moment is driving me crazy with a rattle in the drivers door! I've had it to 3 garages, first place where I bought it under warranty, said they couldn't find anything wrong, second to local mechanic when servicing, he tightened a few things up but didn't work and finally to Suzuki dealer as I discoverd it was covered under 3 Yr warranty. Suzuki replaced the winder mechanism in the electric window and thought that was it fixed but not so... since then it's been back with Suzuki twice, each time I was told it was fixed but not so!I am loosing patience... The rattle sounds like it's coming from inside the door panel, around about where the electric window switches are - anyone had experience on this kind of thing or advice on how I might fix! It's driving me up the wall! Any help appreciated.

Will the drivers side door from a 1990 suzuki swift fit and work on a 1991 suzuki swift

Go to the salvage yard and have them use the parts cross reference book to confirm this will work. I would say yes, but confirm that.

some remotes when you push the unlock button once it will only unlock the drivers door but if you push the unlock a second time they usually unlock all the doors.

Hi ! I have a Holden Barina (1993 MH model) which is a Suzuki Swift rebadged. It loves to rattle when I accelerate, go up a hill and when under load. It doesn't rattle when its cold and when going...

Try some engine cleaner and that will help improve rough idle and or performance. To me it sounds like a possible motor mount issue. Sounds like the front engine mount. Because you explained up a hill rattle. / Down Hill\ no rattle. Engine lifts when going up hill and shifts downward while going down hill. hence no vibration because of gravity pull and the weight of the engine.

Suzuki swift broken electronic door lock

No there is not many problems with this car at all. In fact it has very good ratings. This car may just have a bad electrical connection to the lock mechanism behind the door panel. You can push down drivers lock and then hit all door lock button and it should work no problem. You then can use remote to unlock all doors.

Suzuki swift is full of problems

no need to panic. rear view mirror: if mounted on windshield try tightening small allenscrew where base contacts windshield(might need to remove plastic cover). if mounted to headliner, remove plastic cover to reveal 2/3 phillips screws and tighten them. rear cover has plastic clips that sometimes break or loosen. they can be bought at autozone.ps make sure they are lined up with holes in rear panel. if all else fails look up lemon law on internet.
