Hi,

Additionally, you may want to try and have dealer check the ECU (might require a reflash). Remotely, check the catalytic converter and/or the throttle assembly.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Replace spark plugs, air filter , check fuel filter and pump. If you checked distribution and is ok it can also be a problem with valves, check if there is oil on top of spark plugs.

My car engine stop running suddenly without any warning in neutral gear position, although I've check using OBD 2 reader there's no error detected. What usually causing this problem?

Hi

have you considered the ignition module that the coil pack sits on because that will cause your motor to randomly stop with out warning.

also the crank and cam angle sensor smay need to be considered depending on the vehicle

My car jerks while accelerating

This could be a weak fuel pump.Check your fuel pressure there should be a fuel test port on the fuel rail to connect a gauge.

Ok odds are you just need a routine tune up. Plugs, fuel filter, air filter. Now this engine uses coil packs i think, so you wont have normal plug wires. The coil packs are individual and sit directly on the plugs. So it is possible you have a bad coil pack. These engines were known to have this problem in excess. So try the cheap fixes first. plugs, fuel filter...these two is the best two to try first.. The air filter wont cause a bad miss unless it is completely dobbed up. so just for your own good to change the air filter. Now if neither the plugs or fuel filter fixes this car try this. Each coil pack will have an individual plug on top of them. So listen closely to your engine. Unplug each coil pack one at a time, Now evry time you unhook a plug the engine should miss, so unplug one at a time, and if the engine does miss they are working properly. Now if you unhook one of these and there is no change in the idle of your engine, my friend you have found the problem. All you have to do if you find one that does not change the engine idle, you just go buy a coil pack and replace it. This should fix you right up

look to see if you have a vacuum line off behind the throttle body and look over the engine to see if any hoses are off or cracked but also a plugged fuel filter can do the same thing
