2003 Sahara Landcruiser Console removal

I have a water leak somewhere in the car as it slowly fills up both wells at the drivers and passengers feet, so I decided to strip the carpets find the leak and install new carpet every thing went well till i hit the console, all seats removed, all carpets and underfelt removed, all nice and clean and ready for the new carpet but I cant get the console out, I know it has to do with the wood grain insert section around the Stick but I cant see where to loosen or budge it, the consile is the type with the cooler in it if that a help.

Thank you.

Thank for the try but definitely no Cigar. This console has a Cooler box in it and the cup holder has no visible sign of screws and there is definately no oval piece that can be popped off. This is a console from a Sahara and has a cooler box under the arm rest, I have found this vry difficult to get a soloution, if anyone has the answer the money is yours but at this stage it stays in my account.

Take it to a mechanic you say, you are suppose to be the experts, good lord please dont insult my intelligence by telling me to take it to a mechanic, I was of the impression this site was to help me save money not try to rip me off with lame answers. If you feel insulted then sorry. But I would expect a little more help than your answer.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Just got done doing it actually. remove all the visible screws.. two in the front two above the cup holders. 4 Screws total there. Next pull off the black part that has the cup holders. Under that there are 2 screws holding the console to the floor. Remove them. Then go to the sides on the back.. There are two covers they are oval shaped. pop them off and remove the 4 bolts in there. Then pull off the top part. Next pull out the whole console. The only part thats left it the metal support. It will have 4 bolts and 4 screws attaching it to the floor. Then your done. Except for the two ugly holes where there is no carpet.

Go to this link and follow the 7 steps to fix your problem.....

    Dear sir/madam,

Remove the rubber bumpers under the lid, remove the screws and
compartment liner; remove the 2 screws under the liner; remove the
shifter bezel by pulling up; remove the 2 screws that hold the front of
the console to the dash; pull up on the emergency brake handle as high
as you can, then pull the console back and raise the rear of console
and pull up to clear the emergency brake handle.

If it is not fixed, better contact local car mechanic.....

    thanks
    good luck

2003 STS cadillac leaking water on both driver and passenger floor boards

It could be the sun roof. It also could be clogged drains from the sun roof. It may also be door seals Leaking. It could also be leaking around the bottom of the windshield. A good way to narrow it down is to get inside the car and have someone spray the outside of the car with a water hose. while you look for water leaking inside of the car. If it does it while the ac is on may be a clogged ac drain. however it usually just leaks on passenger side when it is that. well good luck.

2003 Toyota Landcruiser - dripping water from AC unit inside car, passenger floor board...AC works fine...clogged drain line ???

yes the drain line is clogged,, its located along the firewall and is a bear to see,, if you get under the vehicle, and look along the edge you'll see it don't blow air into it , that will just make the clog worse, take a wire, and gently ease it up into the tube, working slowly , be ready to get wet,, once you loosen the clog the water behind it will flush it out, and sometimes there is quite a lot

Mazda Tribute. Water leak under driver's feet. Had similar leak on passenger's side and it was the air-conditioning. Could this be the same?

Generally, water on the passenger side is the A/C drain tube.
Driver side generally means widshield or sun roof seal leak.
Did you wash the Mazda or did it rain prior to puddling?
Before disassembling the windshield seal, test ... with a water hose (Remove floormat and place a towel on newspapers on the driver's side floor).
There is a "smoke" test" that can more accurately find the leak. See if you local AutoZone will rent one (maybe free) to you.

2003 Jeep Cherokee Leaks Water on Passenger Side

Just had ours fixed, look on engine side of firewall, if the outlet pipe in passenger well is a 3/4 inch long pipe projecting forward into engine bay with no tubing leading down towards the ground, the problem is water comes out trickles back with pressure in engine bay to foam seal under the pipe and enters footwell inside car.
Take a piece of rubber tubing and hose clamp it on and direct it down towards ground in engine bay and the problem will be solved!
We have gone from soaking carpet to no leak at all with this simple fix.

There is a hose on the passenger side fire wall. You may have the water leaking back into the car, and may need an extension piece.

Water leak on the passenger rug for 2003 Corolla

well if you have water or coolant leaking on to the rug in your car, first you must remember that every car has 2 radiators. One for the Engine which is in the front of your car under the hood and one for your heater, which is usually hidden deep behind the dash inside of your car. So if you are leaking fluids on to the rug in the car; Im 90% sure its going to be something dealing with the heater radiator. What you have to do is find out where your heater radiator is on your car and check all the hoses.

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
