Liftgate issue not allowing me to lock/unlock vehicle with remote. 'Gate ajar' not lit on dash, but courtesy lights remain on unless overidden. Can only manually lock vehicle, but that is an issue because...

If the key doesn't work on the driver's side door, then the vehicle had the driver's side dor replaced, and whomever did the repair, failed to remove the door lock assembly from the old door and swap it out with the "new" door. This only happens when the door is taken from a wrecked vehicle and used as a replacement. You do not get doors from a factory with the lock assembly in place.

Take the vehicle back to where you had it repaired and tell them that it is thier fault that your vbehicle remote locking system fails. They did not set up (adjust) the switches correctly.

Remote won't lock the Drivers side lock

hi there you say you have had the lock changed do you mean the key hole or the door closure part of the lock?
if you changed the key part its the main lock that's faulty and the reveres is true ,
if the remote is working on one door it is not the remote that's the problem.
i hope that this has been helpful regards John

Key can't open drivers side lock. only passenger side

The lock is not worn out, dirt has built-up inside because of the design of the key. The key is not open and self-cleaning like most keys, therefore, it push dirt and contamination into the cylinder. This results in burrs forming and blocking the key. I have had the driver side door cylinder replaced twice and repaired once. The passenger side cylinder has been repaired once and replaced once. Honda has been of little help. I've written them two letters and as a result, out of the kindness of their heart, they covered the replacement of the first cylinder on the passenger side. Recently, I contacted a local independent repair shop that I often use and, after talking to a Honda repair Mgr, they were able to take the cylinders in both doors out for cleaning and deburring for less than a third of the cost from a Honda shop. No new parts were required. Right now both locks are working fine.
