Re: My 1999 saab 9-5 se (2.3 turbo) cuts off when I turn...
Have the altenator checked out. when you turn these on it puts an extra load on the altenator. Could be loosing voltage or amperage, And the ECM could be shutting you down because of this drop.

It may be a throttle position sensor or a idle control module. either way its not a hard fix try having a diagnostic done on the car auto zone will do it for free codes may be stored even if there is no engine light on.

Take it back to the Dealer........Their Problem not yours. It is possible that a plug was removed during the service and at some stage the ignition was switched on before the plug was reconnected , this would cause a check light and the computer would store this until the light was reset. Hope this helps.
I own a 99' 9-5 V6 turbo SE. Had the same thing. Started smelling gas in the car, sometimes. Instead of not starting it died (as in the engine stopped) on a barren stretch of road at night. Towed to the Saab dealer: Conclusion? Replaced the fuel pump and sending unit.
Don't ask how much.
a good friend of mine who knows aboat saabs told me to check the connection at the blower motor underneath the windshield wipers and sure enough the connections were all corroded.I cut the wires from the spade connectors and the plug and spliced in longer wire and put on new crimp connectors problem solved
It sound like you are having a electrical problem. You need to check your electrical/ignition system, not all electrical problem the diagnostic machine can read.
