Does it sound like its coming from behind the dash? If so your hissing noise is probably from a faulty brake booster.

IT is probably a vacuum leak in the brake booster. With the pedal going to the floor There is either no brake fluid or you will have to bleed the system. Replace the booster and bleed the brakes starting at the longest line first

When the brakes are either applied or released there is sometimes a hissing(air)noise from the brakes.front brake pads have recently been changed but the noise was there before they were changed

the noise you can hear may be coming from the brake system booster.. This is a vacuum system and the hissing noise may be from a leak into the vacuum chamber in the booster. My advice is to take the vehicle into a reputable mechanic and have it checked professionally..
