2007 volvo v50 key stuck in ignition vehicle totally shut down

It is best to call a locksmith, unless you know how to take apart the ignition tumbler and put the assemly locks in the correct order. It sounds like the key tumbler hold in broke and all the tumblers are loose and causing the key to be stuck. If you want to hurry the job for the locksmith and save money, buy the key tumbler assembly for your vehicle for the locksmith to install. Otherwise he will have to make the trip to buy the assembly, which in turn costs you more money. Mechanic shops can replace key tumblers too but when it is stuck in the column, it takes a lot of effort to remove if they are unskilled.

Key broke in the ignition lock

Hello! The only way to get it out without removing the lock cylinder is to pry it out with a dental pick....If that doesn't work, you'll have to remove the lock cylinder and take it to a locksmith or purchase a new cylinder/key...Locksmith may cost around $50 to remove the remainder of the key...Guru...Saailer

I have a 2001 Kia Sirento and a small piece of the key broke inside the ignition key and i can't get it to move or start..How do you take out the ignition apart?

This area does not come apart without a key, even so, not very apart. Usually, you replace the whole thing...easier, but might need a locksmith to get the old one out, without a key..

How do i get a ignition key made without a locksmith

Without having a locksmith come to you? You can either go to the dealership and tell them your VIN, bring your title, and they'll make it for you, but it'll cost a moderate amount. Or, if the door key and the ignition key are the same (or if it's not a chipped ignition key), you can take the door lock out of the door (not too difficult,) and take that into a key maker, like they have in any hardware store.

Key broke off inside ignition need to replace

Try using a pair of thin, long-nosed hemostats if you can see the key remnant.
If you can't see the remnant, don't take the wheel off. Call a mobile locksmith; he can usually help for around 30 bucks.

The key to the ignition with the chip need to be replace but how and where do i go to get a new key and can the old key be reprogram?

Don't go to the dealer, cause they are way expensive.  Call a couple of local locksmith shops to find the cheapest price.  Also, look on e-bay for the key and chip to save money and then all you gotta do is pay for the labor to have the locksmith program the thing for you.

Go to a Nissan dealer, or a locksmith. Take your registration with you. They can make another key from the VIN #.
