Question about 1995 Chevrolet Lumina
I recently replaced the flasher on the Van as of about 4-5 monthes ago. I noticed the blinkers going quicker on both LH and RH turns a couple days ago and now both blinkers are completly dead. I find it hard to believe that a flasher I just replaced has gone on the fritz and I took it in for an oil change and those guys checked it and found that the flasher was good but don't know if they are right or wrong. They think there is a short somewhere in the wiring harness. Is this a common problem? I did splice the ignition power cable in the rear of the Radio Harness to tap power for a device to plug in my I-pod but these systems aren't related.
Well, it could be a short, but it is more likely to be that the relay went again, or that the fuse went. try those first. and depending on the quality of the relay, it may go more often than every 4-5 months. if there is a short, when you replace the fuse it will immediately blow again. also, you might try replacing the bulbs.
