If there is one, then it is probably ither in the glove box or in the trunk under/behind a panel (it should be clearly removable). you may also want to try looking in the center console.

Loction of cd changer plug

the unit at front with the ac controls is just a remote control unit , the radio is in your trunk left side
you have to remove the carpet and you will find a free 13 pin plug , that is the cd changer connector
it is the same in all taurus and sable from 1996 to 2007
the radio looks like this picture

Need to know what or how the adjustment is for the valves on a 1999 Mercury Sable 3.0

Why do you need to adjust the valves? They should be non adjustable, so if there is valve noise, you may have other issues, like enough oil pressure in that area

1999 Mercury Sable cooling system

does it blow out white smoke?  If so it might be a head gasket issue.  I know mercury sables were infamous for head gaskets.

Is it possible: change cd changer input to ipod input

I'm afraid not. The best advice I can give you is to get a Radio Tuner Adapter for your I-pod. Most prople will tell you to use a Cassette adapter, and this is fine. However it sounds like you want the best sound you can get from your I-pod. The tuner adapter is the way to get it. You will get a better sound frequency range from your factory tuner than your cassette. The factory Head unit in your Sable isn't bad, just changing the factory speakers will make a huge diffrence. Good Luck, and don't forget to vote.
