All u have to do is what we call fooling the system.first locate the off switch for the air suspension and turn it off.its usually in the trunk on on either side ,its not hard to find. then turn the key forward as far as it will go without starting the engine.get a couple friends and get in the trunk be still and quiet then switch the switch on and listen for the compressor to come on,its located behind the driver head light so listen in that direction.once the compressor comes on wait...then when it stops turn the switch off and leave it off and everyone get out and it will have lifted as much as 7 and half inches.now if its to high just turn the key foward go back to the switch and turn it on and the car will start decending slowly but pay attention because you wanna turn the switch off about a quarter inch higher than you want it because it will settle a little after sitting or driving.i have a 94 lincoln with 8 12 inch subs thats lowered with the original airbags and i also have a 2001 lincoln lifted 8 inches with 26s using the original bags once again.[a little tip:rub down your bags with motor oil while fully inflated then wipe dry this will add around 2 to 5 years to the bags.MAKE SURE YOU wipe ALL excess oil off everything if not sand will stick and make holes quick. it is really worth it though.

DO I TURN OFF THE AIR RIDE ON 2004 LINCOLN TOWNCAR TO CHANGE THE TIRES

yes if the wheels are going to be of the ground for any length of time, the suspension will keep trying to level the car and will get stuck in the high position..

My Lincoln Navigator air suspension went flat after we replaced all four tires, it won't air back up...please help!!!

AIR COIL SPRINGS WILL DEFLATE AND BE DAMAGED IF YOU DID NOT TURN OFF AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM BEFORE RAISING VECHICLE AND CHANGE TIRES IF YOU DONT TURN OFF AIR SUSPENSION IT WILL CAUSE AIR SPRINGS TO OVER INFLATE CAUSE AIR SPRING SPRING DAMAGE.

Trying to find a wiring diagram for air compressor. Rear air ride is out compressor not running at all checked fuses just replaced relay .

I know that you are trying to fix that air ride, but i put these replacement springs on my 93 towncar. Fixed the compressor problem (eliminated it) and cost a whole lot less. The install is kinda hard if you've never dropped a rear end before. Need a good tool set, a couple jacks, and jack stands to get it done. Check it out. Even having a mechanic install them would be cheaper than replacing a compressor.

2000 navigator: sit higher on one side than the other.

the air ride suspension has level sensors under the vehicle, one of the sensors must be bad making the truck deflate the airbag or inflate it too much. you may need to have someone with a scan tool to access the air suspension module and check for fault codes. you can try turning the air suspension switch off for about an hour to see if the system will reset. the switch is located under the dash on the right side kick panel.

My 1998 lincoln towncar off-balance

Sounds like shocks/struts. Usually if they start sagging it's because of a problem in the suspension, like shocks or struts.
