Smell gas while driving inside car

A leaking fuel line can be discovered by looking for gaspuddles under your car when parked. A fuel-injection line may also leak, causing you to notice the smell of gasfumes during and immediately after driving. A fuel-tank vent hose may also leak, causing unburned gas to exit your fuel system as vapor.24 Apr 2015

Smell gas inside

On my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica I noticed a gas smell inside the cabin. I could also smell the gas very strong inside the engine bay when the car was running. It turned out to be a plastic line that connects between the fuel line from the tank, and the fuel rail which was leaking fuel. This line was located on the right side of the engine bay under the air cleaner. This was right next to the HVAC system, which was why I was smelling it in the cab of the car so much.

There's a gas smell inside the car.

Check your muffler for holes. The gases can enter the passengers cabin and it can smell like gas, specially if your car isn't burning gasoline completely due to bad tuning.

Gas Smell when heater turned on

When the heater is turned on, it is drawing in air from the cowl at the bottom of the windshield outside the car. If your smelling gas when you turn it on, it would suggest to me that there may be a fuel leak under the hood. A lot of Honda's have the fuel filter under the hood against the firewall. Open the hood, and see if the gas smell is any stronger, or any gas smell at all for that matter. I would strongly recommend getting the car checked as soon as possible, if you can find the source of the smell yourself.

Grand am smells like gas inside the car

I would definatly recheck the regulator to make certain you do not have any leaks.
But to be clear, you are smelling gas and not exhaust?
Also, is you cowl seal in good shape, not missing or damaged in any way?
Let me know.
