I've done a dozen of these with no instruction book, but only on American engines where the timing chain is in the front. If that's what you have, you only need the courage to start taking it apart. There is nothing mysterious about it.

What's the worst that could happen? You get discouraged and put the bolts back in?

How do I remove and replace the timing chain for 1993 ford f-250 diesel

If your truck has the 6.9 or 7.3 engine, which is what it should have, then there is no timing chain. Everything is gear driven. If you are having trouble with the engine pick up a copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part # 10330. It has excellent repair advice and tips complete with photos and diagrams. Hope this helps.

1994 VOLVO 850 2.4 l TIMING CHAIN

Your car actually has a timing belt that should be changed along with the tensioner at 70,000 Miles. In the past, I have found that the first question people ask is when was the timing belt replaced.

Timing belt 1994 nissan altima

most timing belts go much longer. i am asuming the dealer recommends it or you probably wouldn't ask.it is not an easy or cheap job. i am a big fan of if it ain't broke don't fix it. my truck has almost 200k with the original on...some motors are damaged when the timing belt breaks..ask your dealer why it is recommended and go from there..Good luck

Hi there,
you will need new upper timing chain and sprockets. Common problem on altima your year. Nissan has TSB for it. First they had us remove the upper timing chain guide, but after that, they had us replace all top chain components.
