I'm going from memory on my 2002 Impala, but I recall that the key needs to be on, radio off.
Only the clock is displayed. Push one of the small buttons to change the Hours or Minutes.

THE CORNER LAMP? next to headlight? there is a philips screw on top of light assembly will see it when you open hood remove screw and light will come out

There is a switch relay that plugs behine the ignition switch cylinder.You would have to take apart the dash console to take it apart to replace it.Also helps solve a few problem on the 2001 chevrolet impala, with heat gauage not working and a/c not blowing cold air anymore.Replacing it, should fix the problem with that.
