Question about 1998 Ford Taurus
Ran out of fuel, car sat for almost a year put a couple of gallons in but it will not run. It just turns over, the battery died which hasn't help. I am going to try and put more fuel in it along with Lucas fuel treatment. My question is in regards to the fuel line, is it pressurized? If so how do I do it.
There is a port in the fuel line that looks like a tire valve stem) it will have a plastic cap on it), have someone depress the shrader valve in the port and see if any fuel comes out while you crank it, also the gas may have gone bad, you also need a full charge on the battery so you can get it turning fast enough to fire the engine, a low battery starves the fuel pump of voltage, it runs slow and causes low fuel pressure issue.
