If you pull out the clock, remove the two connectors and you will see a small black circle in the corner. Under this circle is a small light bulb, I tried some places Autozone, etc but they didn't have any. Best bet is to go to a dealership they should have a replacement.

The clock works, correct? It is just not illuminating when your headlights are turned on? If this is the case then it is most likely that you have 2 burned out bulbs. The forester clock bulb is Sylvania bulb part #2723

Hope that helps! I have a bunch of clock related info on my website www.autoclockrepair.com. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

My clock light has gone out on my Grand Am - can we replace a fuse to get it working again and if so where is it located?

the clock light doesn't have a separate fuse, it is on the same fuse as all the lights in the dash, what has happened is that the tiny bulb in it has burned out, this bulb is soldered to the circuit board inside the clock, you will need to remove the clock and replace that bulb, radio shack sells the bulb.

My clock light on my 2004 Subaru Forester won't light anymore. The dome light works so I know its not a fuse.

Is this for a 1999 Forester or for a 2004 forester, the title lists both years. If it is a 1999 model then the problem most likely resides within the clock itself. Unfortunately, many clocks of this vintage go bad over time. I offer a reasonable repair service and many clock removal instruction sheets at www.autoclockrepair.com
I'd be happy to assist.

CLOCK LIGHT PROBLEM

This is a notaries problems with these Aerios. The problem is with the soldering on the back of the clock/temp gauge. It's an easy fix if your familiar with soldering. Remove the clock/temp gauge. If you've already replaced the bulb then you know how to do this. turn it over, and re solder all of the existing solder spots. This should solve the problem.
