Have some one jack it up, possible wheel bearing. Check lug nuts. If wheel moves in and out from top to bottom, bearing. Have tires checked. condition and if balanced.

I would not recommend driving it like this. Take it into a shop, most shops provide a free inspection.

I guess my first question is how do you know it is just the left front wheel ?
Have you checked the front shocks ?
Does it make any difference if you are applying the brakes ?
Have you moved the left front wheel to a different position ?

I have a 2005 Toyota Solara SLE. I having problems with the front end. The car shakes/shimmies upon accelaration at approx. 40 mph. It smoothes out if you take your foot aff the accelarator but shakes...

Check the condition of your tires and suspension. this problem is usually caused by bad component or alignment. Special attention is given to camber and caster.

My 1989 Chevey Celebrity started shaking the other day the front part of the car, not like the front end is messed up but it shakes.

Could be a wheel, tire, or axle shaft.
You could rotate the tires front to back and see if the vibration moves.
If it does the problem is one of the tires or wheels.
If it stays in the front, its probably one of the axle shafts. It could also be a hub bearing or something loose in the suspension. But a loose suspension part would normally show up when you hit a bump rather than on a smooth road.

The vehicle is shaking at 50 mph

Have the tires checked for,out of round defects, and balanced. If that does not help, have the front end parts checked, tie rod ends. Then have a front end alignment.

Front End shaking

Most likely with this problem is the front tires. The tires maybe " out of balance " or " out of round " causing the vibration at certain speeds.

At 40 mph the car starts to shake. It last to 5o

I have this same car with exactly the same problem. Begins shaking at 40mph and stops shaking as soon as you let off the gas, but then begins again as soon as you press on the gas and smooths out as you get over 50. And the shaking is not felt through the steering wheel. Solution: Replace the transmission mounts. There are two of them, one on each side mounted on the frame right next to the shock strut. There is also a front and rear engine mount, but I replaced the two as described and shaking is gone.
