I would check the motor itself, it may be worn out. Usually with a weak motor you can grab both sides of the glass and pull up, while someone pushes the button and get it to close. You should be able to get a motor from the junk yard fairly reasonable. You can also take to door panel off and ensure the window hasn't jumped out of track or is binding.

Rear windows fall down. Power windows do not work. I can hear the motor when I push the up control but the windows don't move.

The drive mechanism is worn out or broken. Some are easy to replace, some are not. They may come as an assembly meaning you have to buy the whole drive, motor and all. Panels can be complicated to remove, and some drilling may be required to remove the old drive assembly.

My personal experience with power windows is this...after our kids grew up and moved out, we stopped having power window problems!! Good Luck!!

Power windows stuck

Do you hear the motor come on when you press the button?if you do, the window has probably come off the track. If you don't hear the window motor come on...do any of the other windows go up or down?If they don't, check the fuse first.

Drivers side power window quit working The word auto on the switch is still lit up though. 2004 Chrysler Sebring

If you can hear the window motor when you push the button you need a new window regulator.

Window does not go up and down but the power does work to the window.

If you have power to the window when you push the switch up and down and the window does not move then try tapping it while pushing the switch. If it moves then you need to replace the window motor. What happens sometimes is they hit a dead spot and will not work.I have had a few of these do this and when I tapped on them they started to work.If you don`t replace it it will eventually find that dead spot again and will quit working. It is best to replace the motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know what you find.

I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX 4-dr sedan. The front driver's side power window motor works (you can hear it), and the window will go down, but not back up. You can hear the motor when pushing the button...

Hi, the reason you hear the motor running but the window wont go back up is because the window regulator is bad. you will need to go to a parts store and get a replacement. you can get a replacement at Advance Auto Parts for $72.99. the part number is 741-766.

Driver side windows don`t work, don`t go up or down

Do you hear anything when you hit the button? If you don't hear a thing,
in either side, you may just have a blown fuse. Check the owners manual for the fuse diagram to check the power window fuse.

seems to be an electrical problem or there's something wrong with your power window console.

The drivers side window auto up/down quit

1. Start the car and leave it idle.
2. Hold the window button down all the way, until the window is completely down.
3. Let go and push it down again and hold the window button for 2 to 3 seconds then let go. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)
4. Pull up on the window button and roll the window up until it is all the way up, when it is up let go.
5. Pull the button up again for 2 to 3 seconds. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)
