The only one you can reset is the "time for regular service" message.
To reset this, turn ignition off, hold the trip reset button down and turn key to position II. Keep holding the trip reset until you hear a ping noise and the orange triangle flashes. Immediately release the trip reset and turn the ignition off. When you start the car next, the message will be gone.
Other messages like "SRS Service required" or "Alarm system service required" can only be rest with a OBD code reader.
The person(s) who serviced your alarm should be able to tell you if you have siren or horn type.. We have NO idea what alarm system you have..Volvo has many alarm systems.
Ti reset you service light you need an OBII scanner - You can have any good shop or auto parts store do it for you.
replace remote battery to make sure, but if alarm is activated it continous to chirp the alarm or if your alarm system is set by the manufacturer try to relearn the program, if all fuse are ok, and your remote lock/unlock is work, check for lose ground connection, if remote is not working, replace the battery then try to do this. swtch ignition in 10 seconds to on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on wait 30 seconds, press any button of the remote once, turn igniton off, after 30 seconds start the car, if not go to the nearest service center to check the troublecodes
The message is trying telling you that the system has a fault and most likely the control module has disabled the system. After the problem is fixed the message will clear. You can have the system tested by Volvo to see what part of the system has a fault, most likely they will charge about 1 hour labor time.
Hi. Check fuse 38 in the fuse box to the right of the dashboard. It is for the siren. There is a serial communication between the UEM and siren which if communication stops there it will stop power supply to sunroof module. Matt
