Question about 2005 Dodge Neon
BOLTS ARE LOCATED ON BOTH SIDES OF STARTER--ONE ON TOP GOES IN FROM BELL HOUSING SIDE...ONE ON BOTTOM GOES FROM STARTER SIDE---I SEE SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOOK AT A MANUAL FOR THIS BASIC QUESTION--HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL AT AUTOZONE FOR $15.00 BUCKS IS WORTH THE COST FOR THE 05 NEON.

They are around the edge of the starter since they have to hold the starter. If it is a higher mileage car, you may have to do a bit of cleaning to find them. Also, the bolts go in towards the transmission.

SOURCE: where are the motor mount bolts
Your under the car working on the starter
You look at the mounts, they have to have at least 2 or 3
bolts holding them to the sub frame, you don't remove the
engine side of mount !!!

All of the nuts and bolts are metric on it. It helps to use a 13mm swivel socket on the starter bolts but you can use a wrench if you need to. Also, a 7/8 open end wrench for the 02 sensor, or an 02 sensor socket.
Let me give you the steps for the starter and also the front engine mount bracket. You don't have to remove the entire mount, just the bracket
Remove the battery cable from starter.
