2001 Grand Cherokee Limited a/c Blower Motor

I own a 2001 Grand Cherokee Limited, the other day as I was driving the a/c blower sopped blowing all of a sudden. I shut it off and it came back on, blew for a while and then stopped again. I repeated the process to no avail. I shut it off and restarted the vehicle and it came back on and blew for a while and now has completly stopped. You can feel the cool air through the vents, but it just not blowing ! Could it be something as simple as a blown fuse ? Any suggestions ?

Check on Ebay for Jeep Grand Cherokee Harness Kit. The plug on your harness may be melted like mine was. I bought this kit, followed the instructions in his ad and it worked great. All I had to do was cut off my old plug and solder this one on. Even the wire colors matched so there was no guessing.

Check the blower resistor under the glove box. I have a 2001 also, I had many problems with that thing melting wires. I had a bunch of problems with mine. I still have it and I still have a ton of problems. All the time.

Sounds like the blower is not working. Does the blower work? Does it even turn on at all?

Try wiggling the connector on your Blower Motor Resistor. They are known for having a bad connection and melting the connector. Check on Ebay, I bought a new harness kit on there. It was easy to install, just cut off the old connector and splice in the new. The colors match so there is no guessing which wire goes where. Only cost me $12 and saved me $300+ that the dealer wanted.

I need a wiring diagram for the blower motor on a 1999 jeep grand cherokee limited. I have two wires sticking out of the blower motor and I don't know where they go

Usually you have to splice the wires into the old plug.
You might be able to find a diagram on the websites for auto parts stores such as autozone.

there is a blower motor resister. it creates a lot of heat sometimes melting the electrical plug. check the plug for signs of melting and check the resister for deformation. Both parts can be purchased at rockauto.com

2001 jeep Grand Cherokee blower motor won't work on any speed

OK, if this motor is totally dead and, it will not operate under any circumstances, this will confirm motor failure. normally, if the switch is faulty, you would get some uncontrolled action form the motor. it would blow at the highest level all the time but, if its totally dead, you will need to replace the blower motor in this case for sure.

Check all fuses. If o/k check for 12 volts at the blower motor. If no power at blower the system has to be traced to find where the power quits. Hope this heps.

Just want to let you and the other guy know that I have been having the same issue with the A/C in my '01 Grand Cherokee Limited...I have taken it in to get it fixed twice already and now I have an appointment for a third time. The first time it was the blower motor resistor...then it stopped working again after like 3 months of enjoying the A/C. Took it back to the same guy thinking something they did went bad but it ended up being the blower motor itself that went bad...so had to have that replaced. Now I am taking it back and the guy has no idea why it stopped working again but he said he would take a look. All in all i have already spent well over $400 on parts and labor b/c I don't know the first thing about cars! Hope this helps and I will try to keep you posted in what I find out! Gotta get it fixed before winter or else I am gonna freeze my *** off!
