2001 Grand Cherokee Limited a/c Blower Motor not working

I own a @001 Grand Cherokee Limited, the other day as I was driving the a/c blower sopped blowing all of a sudden. I shut itoff and it came back on, blew fior a while and then stopped again. I repeated the process to no avail. i shutit and restarted the vehicle and it came back on. blew for a while andnow has completly stopped. You can feel the cool air, but it just not blowing ! Could it be something as simple as a blown fuse ? Any suggestions ?

HVAC blower stops, but would run if I wiggle the wiring harness. Now it has stopped completely, and I can smell the "burnt wire" smell. Is the resister the black Delco box next to the harness connector?

Hi Joxer, I am in the same exact situation as you are with the same exact vehicle. All of a sudden the air stopped blowing. I turned the blower off and then back on and it worked. I did this a couple of times and it would work, but then, like you...nothing. Now I have no air coming out at all. Have you found a solution?

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with climate control sensors. Driving along and AC blower essentially stopped blowing (I could fell a faint breeze from the vents when driving fast). What I felt was cold. Tried heater and still essentially no flow (again, faint flow when driving, but essentially nothing at a stop). This happens either in manual or auto mode. Checked blower motor fuse - OK. Is the blower motor shot, or is there some sensor issue that I can't fix. Thanks.

Try wiggling the connector on your Blower Motor Resistor. They are known for having a bad connection and melting the connector. Check on Ebay, I bought a new harness kit on there. It was easy to install, just cut off the old connector and splice in the new. The colors match so there is no guessing which wire goes where. Only cost me $12 and saved me $300+ that the dealer wanted.

I also own a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee had the same problems. There a little black box under passenger side dash. They call it a resistor its about a 1.5 inches thick 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. It has a red and wire that come in one side and 3 multi colored wires that plug into it. The last connection is usually the problem. Those 3 connections are so close the short out. As a quick fix I remove the old plug and directly wired w/ connectors. I shrink insulated to protect, it worked for awhile but eventually they shorted. I'm now installing/replacing the resistor (the little black box) part number 5012699-AA RESISTOR 8035002. Its a ***** working under that dash. Sorry I just saw this post.

What besides the blower motor can make the ac not work on a 2001 jeep grand cherokee limited not work

There is an electronic fan speed control module screwed to the blower. It's hard to remove under dash. I took it to workbench and found bad solder connection. I resoldered it and re-installed it. Working fine for over a year now. Saved $350. But hard work.

I need a wiring diagram for the blower motor on a 1999 jeep grand cherokee limited. I have two wires sticking out of the blower motor and I don't know where they go

Usually you have to splice the wires into the old plug.
You might be able to find a diagram on the websites for auto parts stores such as autozone.

Check all fuses. If o/k check for 12 volts at the blower motor. If no power at blower the system has to be traced to find where the power quits. Hope this heps.

Check on Ebay for Jeep Grand Cherokee Harness Kit. The plug on your harness may be melted like mine was. I bought this kit, followed the instructions in his ad and it worked great. All I had to do was cut off my old plug and solder this one on. Even the wire colors matched so there was no guessing.
