Bmw 325ci ac leaks onto driver's right foot. How do you clean the drains and where are they located. Thanks

There is a drain hose in the base of the ac chamber that drains condensate out under the car. This hose blocks up with gunk from inside the car ( looks like black slimy moss) and the water cannot get away. You will have to disconnect the hose of the chamber and clean both the hose and the fitting back into the chamber.

Ambient sensor gauge stopped working correctly at the same time the AC quit

The ambient temp sensor is related to the AC function, if the HVAC system thinks the outside temp is too low, the AC will not be turned on. You probably have a defective temp. sensor. It is easy to change and relatively inexpensive. It is located on the underside of the top radiator support almost in the center (just to the drivers side of center).
The car dying at a stop light can probably be solved by cleaning the throttle body. Make sure that both the front and rear sides of the throttle body are cleaned. And also disconnect the battery during the cleaning process, this will reset the computer and allow it to relearn to the cleaned throttle body.
The compass issue is another separate issue and may just require a recalibration. I don't know what the procedure is but try Googling the subject.

When my ac comes on on a hot day the air smells like mildew?? Does the cabin filter fix that?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. Actually if there is mildew in the system it takes a serious cleaning of the evaporator coil and near by plastic housing / ducting to get rid of the smell. Mildew usually starts forming on the evaporator coil and compartment when the compartment drain gets to be really slow from debris or a dust clog. You can try filters and air fresheners but all they will do is mask the mildew odor. Once the mildew routine starts the only real fix is a serious cleaning of the evaporator coil, compartment and nearby air ducting. Often it takes a good mild and mildew remover to get rid of the problem completely. The evaporator compartment will for sure have to be opened up. If a service shop is going to do the cleaning job correctly they will most likely pump out the freon in the AC system and remove the evaporator coil for proper cleaning. It is not a cheap fix as it is labor intensive and requires the AC system to be drained and re-serviced. Demand that they clean the compartment drain during the cleaning process. My comments are what it really takes to purge the mildew from the AC system correctly. Your call as to fix it or live with it.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

AIR CONDITIONER PUT LOAD ON ENGINE.IN ORDER FOR ENGINE TO CARRY AC LOAD YOUR ENGINE HAS TO BE TOP KNOTCH SHAPE.SPARK PLUGS + WIRES HAS TO BE GOOD.FUEL FILTER AND AIR FILTER HAS TO BE GOOD SHAPE.INJECTORS BEEN CLEANED.SEE YOUR ENGINE HAS TO HAVE FULL POWER TO CARRY AC LOAD.IF ENGINE POORLY TUNED THE AC WILL PULL DOWN ENGINE POWER THATS WHY YOU GET HESITATION.

How do you clean the coils on a toyota corolla air conditioning system ?

Hello. My name is Toyota Ed.
Welcome to FIxYa. Please allow me to assist you.

I assume that you want to clean the coils in the AC box under the dash, correct?

We have used many, many different products, but we have found that Toyota sells a very nice product that works the best. All you do is buy the can of AC cleaner foam from a Toyota parts departement, and insert the tube from the can into the AC condensate drain tube. Empty the contents of the can into the tube, and the foam will clean the coils, kill all the mold, and you will avoid having to pay a lot of money to have it removed and cleaned. We use this product a lot, and run specials on it at this time of the year. There are other similar products, but the Toyota stuff seems to do the best job.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance today. I hope that my assistance proves useful to you. If so, a 4-thumbs rating would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great day.

Blocked Weep Hole: Hello. I have a 2000 Ford Ranger xlt and water collects on the passenger side floor. I was told the weep hole for the a/c condensate is likely blocked. Can someone tell me where the weep...

The AC evaporator/core condensation drain tube is located on the passenger side of the fire-wall towards the bottom of the fire-wall, (it resembles a heater hose that is coming off from the fire-wall and it connects to nothing, and it is just to drain the AC condensation) and it is easily viewed from under the vehicle. Use long pipe cleaners folded in half to clean out the AC drain, and be very careful that the AC evaporator/core, or the heater core is not damaged from using any hard or sharp objects to clean out the AC drain.

Air conditioning not working 100%

You may want to have the evaporator (the AC part under the dashboard on the passenger side) cleaned. It needs to be taken out and cleaned. Normally this would solve the issue. Have the freon checked if there is a decrease. You may have it filled up and have the system checked for leaks.
