Question about 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
For 98 and up theres a passenger bad off switch turn it off start the car drive for afew minutes turn the car off turn the passenger bag back on and start the car up again, it works on my 2 98's and my 01

The light goes on after so many miles as an indicator that the airbag is supposed to be serviced. On some model vehicles there is a shut off switch under the dash that the dealerships use to turn the light off after servicing. I can't tell you for sure exactly where it is on your truck, or if it is equipped with it, but you might ask the dealership if you can find some really nice guy there that is willing to share the info.
