if the engine has been steamed cleaned that may have caused this to happen, get all the water out of the area & check in a few days to see if it happens again,if it does you will have to try & find where the water is leaking from.......hope this helps......cheers.

Where is the fuse box in a 1989 Mazda capella (not the one under the bonnet)?

Hello
I did not give up, the Capella is the same as the 626 in the USA.

The fuse box and fuse box diagram is located in front of the driver side door approximately 8 inches from the floor, under the or near the dash. There is a black cover on the fuse box on the cover is a diagram of the fuse box fuses. Remember this is for a left hand drive as far as the driver position goes.

Where is the fuel pump it is a 1996 mazda capella station wagon 1800 automatic we ran it out of gas then we topped it up but it wont fire up. fuel isnt getting pumped up. we have done everything else...

Usually the fuel pump is in the gas tank. It has a pipe going to the bottom of the tank with a strainer on it. You might find that the strainer has got clogged with the rubbish that develops in a tank over the year, especially now that the fuel level has got so low. I have a Corolla but I am sure that the Mazda is similar Remove the bottom of the rear seat and you will see a cover held on with a couple of screws. Remove that and you will see the tank below. There is a plate on the top of the tank with an electrical connection going to it. Have someone switch on the ignition and try to hear if the pump whirrs. If so it might just need cleaning. Remove the electrical cables and loosen the screws enough to move the plate just a little so that you can break the seal without damaging the gasket. Once the seal is broken, undo the plate and remove the pump. The strainer will pull off the bottom. Wash it in soapy water, rinse and replace.
