Question about Chrysler PT Cruiser
How many miles are on the car? Major emissions component failures are covered by an 8yr/80,000 mile warranty. If you are under 80K, take it in to the dealership. If you are over the 80K miles (obviously you are under 8 years), it needs to be fixed at a dealership because the new PCM will have to be reprogrammed to the car.
It may not affect driveability though, as it seems in your case. That of course doesn't mean it can't later.
