To remove the radio you need a philips head screw driver and a 7mm socket or drill attachment. first remove the philips screw to the left of the cigarette lighter outlets in the shallow pocket, then remove the (2) philips screws above the speedo cluster. now on the flat panel below the steering column pop out the two caps on the top left and right and remove the 7mm screws from each spot. pulling the top of the panel below steering colum back you will have access to (3) philips screws, two on the left of the steering wheel and one on right side of the steering wheel. turn the truck on and lower the steering wheel all the way down and just carefully pull the radio bezel away unplugging all harnesses and adapters. you will now have accessto the radio which just is held in with (3) 7mm screws, two on the left and one on the right...i hope this helps you out.

I have a 1981 ford f150 4x4 with a 302 engine An automatic transmission that works fine shifts properly going forward But when I put it in reverse I hear a clunk and sometimes it goes into gear and...

If the transmission was rebuilt 2 years ago the fluid and filter did not need to be changed. In a 1981 there are no trouble codes to retrieve so whoever suggested that is out to lunch, Unfortunatley you need to get the transmission rebuilt again, hopefully it gets done better this time. Using the dexron oil in Ford transmissions is something transmission shops do because they don't want to stock different fluids. While it's not likely that using dexron oil lead to the failure it would be better to use mercon or type F oil.

Had to change the battery on my car, so i need a code to the stereo... Its a Ford Mondeo, 96 or 97 model....stereo is 5000 RDS EON. And the serial is: M213908...can anybody please help me...? I need...

usually (if the stereo is stock) the numbers will be somewhere on a sticker in the car. i know in hondas they usually put the sticker in the glovebox on the inside or outside wall. the owners manual can tell you more for locations if it is stock. and it can also tell you the number if it isnt a stock radio.

What maintenace Does a 2003 Toy Rav4 manual transmission need?

The manual transmission oil, or gear box oil can't last forever. It is a good idea to replace every 60K miles with a new one. Just as with motor oil, and oil change is cheap insurance. Buy synthetic oil if you can.
The manual transmission oil change is a simple procedure, but can complicated and creates costly problems.
First remove the filling bolt. In some cases this is siezed, If the heating doesn't help, you don't want a stripped filler bolt, with an empty transmission. Use WD-40 and do not use extensive force.
If the bolt still won't budge. Stop. Lower the car and visit a shop for service.
After removing the filler bolt (upper), then remove the drain bolt at the bottom.
Replace the drain bolt, with a new one, normally has a magnet, and thread it by hand after with a wrench.
Fill the gearbox with oil using a gear oil / lube pump. Replace the filling bolt and process same as with draining bolt.
If you will change the gear box oil every 60K miles this is the best insurance for your manual transmission. DO NOT FORGET TO REPLACE FILLING AND DRAINING BOLTS WITH NEW ONE.
In rare cases a rusty bolt is siezed, almost rust welded in the transmission housing, so the transmission must be removed and taken to a machine shop.

Need the code for the radio

None of the mitsubishi cars stereos have the same code, I had this problem with the stock stereo on my 99 eclipse spyder, I removed the stereo and put an aftermarket in, but changed it back when I was trading the car in, You have to call mitsubishi customer sevice with the serial code number on the back of the radio, also you have to provide them with information to prove that you actually own the car.

Just had my oil changed and now one preset station has the message " inov 712 ". What is the issue here? problem is on a 2001 pontiac grand am, 3.4

If your talking about the stereo preset station than it had nothing to do with the oil change. There's a myth that every time someone gets an oil change and they drive away and a problem comes up immediately it has to do with the oil change. An oil change is a drain of oil, change of oil filter, and then fill new oil. Your stereo has absolutely nothing to do with the stereo. It seems like the stereo got an issue. I hope this help.

How to replace transmission oil

to replace the oil on your transmission is not that hard but as a auto technician I should advice you that if on any vehicle the transmission oil has never been changed and is a high millage vehicle by changing the oil the transmission can slip or go neutral you should take your vehicle to a transmission shop and have the oil changed there with special oil changing machine that would clean the transmission and converter while it replaces the old oil and if there's a risk on damaging the transmission then they will tell you before changing the oil on your transmission and if they change the oil and any problems should happen then they are responsible for your transmission but if you insist to change it your self by removing the oil pan on the transmission you let all the oil out some of these Japanese vehicles have a drain plug you can take the brain plug out then remove the oil pan once you remove the oil pan then you'll see the transmission filter with socket wrench using a 10 mm socket remove the filter and the same way replace it with the new filter don't over tork the screws tighten to 15 lb. then remove the old oil pan gasket and make sure by doing all this process everything is extra clean, clean out oil pan and replace gasket and install oil pan then after you finish pour in 3 qt. of good quality transmission oil then turn on engine and take the shifter to R then D and last N and with engine on check the level and add as needed good luck
