Question about 2001 Chevrolet Impala
My 2001 impala switch for defrost, vent, floor will not switch, it is always stuck on floor mode. what do i have to fix? to solve the problem.
I fixed this by repairing the vacuum line. It had gotten battery acid on it and ate right thru it. Cut off the broken/dry rotted ends and splice together with some vacuum line tubing from autozone.

more than likely you will need a new climate control switch unit
Scrap yard or eBay for less than $30 most times.
This is the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to check or repair these.
