Question about 1998 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
Just had a new engine installed in my 1997 S-10 4.3L V6. Was moving the truck into the driveway tonight and the lights and radiocut out and went dark. The engine continued to run. I turned off the lights and the day time lights came on, then turned the lights back on and they came on. The radio is a replacement so I only use the hot side to provide power. I don't use the dimmer for the display. I tell you this to say it doesn't seem like it could be the switch for the head lights, or the dimmer, however, it could be. Any ideas? Having just dropped a new engine into this truck, I'm curious as to your thoughts of how long the transmission might last. It's totally speculative I know, but I'm just looking for some feedback on when to start looking for problems. The truck had 154,500 miles when I replaced the engine a few weeks ago.
