With a large screwdriver, CAREFULLY pry the axle out of the differential case about half an inch. This causes an internal snap ring to disengage from it's locking groove, you can then pull the axle out of the case. Countrycurt0

Rear Axle Shfat. How To?

C Clips you mean. there is a pin in the middle of the ring gear. this pin must be removed and then you push in on each axle, then the clip may fall out, or you will need to remove it from the end of the axle. then you can pull the axle out. You dont say "why" you are replacing it, replace the axle bearing and seal.

My pasenger side front seatbelt wont come out its

the safest thing to do is replace the belt (either from a junk yard or oem replacement). But before you do that, i have had some luck with spaying liquid wrench/compressed air down into the assembly while gently tugging on the strap. You can try to disassemble the unit but, there is a very high likelihood that you will either break something or it wont function properly afterwords (i.e. the clutch wont engage when it pulled fast). So if you do plan on taking it apart, be ready to buy a new one. What i have seen many times; inside the assembly there is a ball that floats in a cup, if the cup get clogged with crud, the ball wont disengage the clutch, clean out the bowl the ball sits in and it should work properly again. Hope this helps!

Rear axle brake calipur broke and split my rim, i need to remove my axle shaft so i can replace my parking cable bracket, ive removed my bearing caps and pin from the center of my axle but my axle still...

Bearing caps? Put them back in. and retorque, I hope you didnt ruin anything. After you take the bolt and and the large pin out, you push the axle in towards the center of the axle housing and there is a large clip that you remove, sometimes it even falls out, then you can pull the axle out. The clip fits into a groove at the end of the axle. Inspect the axle bearing and seal while its apart ant replace them if anything looks like its worn, To install push the axle all the way in, and get the clip back in th egrrove, then pull axle out to seat the clip. then the large pin can go back in.

Having trouble removing front driver side axle. took everything apart but wont come out of trans. Is there something that i am forgeting

I worked on a Mazda 323 this one time, and the axle on one side was a real bear to get out. The retaining ring on the end of the shaft was open too much, and it ended up getting sheared off. It took a tremendous amount of force. I don't think I've ever said more four-letter words than with this one. What a SOB. I hope that you won't have to pull teeth with yours. The biggest pry bar you can find should suffice. Good luck!

I cant get my axle off to replace the cv boot

you have to remove the lower ball joint connector slide the axle out from the rotor side and drop the axle then you must use a heavy pry bar and pry the axle out away from the motor, there is a snap ring that can get damaged that will keep it from coming out without a lot of force once you get past the snap ring it will come out easy. Be sure to hols the axle up with a block or something so that the weight of the axle is not just dangling on the ground the straighter the axle is the less force is needed to get it out. Pry between the engine and the round part of the shaft next two it. If you can't get it out of the wheel side you have to use a hammer to tap it to get it out of the hub bearing and disconnect the tie rod end to get it to be removed. Still have problems then post a responce to this post.

I have taken everything apart on the right side but can't get the axle to come out of the tranny. What is the best way to get it to come loose. 2001 Kia Sephia with auto trans, right side. thanks

Sometimes these axles are tough to remove, sometimes you may have to tap the outside of the axle with either a brass hammer or rubber mallet (as not to damage the outer part of the axle) adthen try and pull out the axle shaft. You may also have to try pry bar behind the axle shaft (where it goes into the transmission) and slightly pry out away from the transmission to release the ring lip that holds it in place inside the transmission. Hope this helps.

Need to take out passager drive axle to get alternator our

If you have everything already apart then the drive shaft should pull right out. Some times they pull out hard. Try turning it back and forth and give it a good ****. Make sure the transmission is in natural.
