Question about 1988 Ford F 150
Hi i put a efi ford 300 in my 1980 f150 and having a had time getting the timing set for to get it started. i had to take the disturtor out not sure if i am out 180 or not but it is back firing in the carb.
The way I used to do it is to take out the #1 spark plug, put your finger near the hole and click the engine over. When air begins coming out of the cylinder, look at the rotor in the distributor. You should begin with the number one spark plug wire just ahead of where the rotor is when the compression stroke starts.
