Brake Light Replacement

Hi, I have a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville and I don't have the Owners Manuel. I wanted to know how to change the Brake Light. I noticed when I open the trunk that electrical wiring is sealed. It looks like I can pop the Light Assembly off, but I don't want damage the car. Is there a certain way to pop off the Light so I can get to the Bulb? Thanks.

You have to go through the trunk remove the black paneling located in the trunk and then you have to unscrew the light.

Antilock, braction, traction lights on the dash

It is none of the speed sensors. The 1214 is system contact or coil open. The 1248 is for the ebcm turned light on.These 2 are for the electronic brake control module. The 1245 is for the low tire pressure. And the 1287 is for the steering wheel position sensor. What you should do first is clear the codes and road test the vehicle. When the light comes back on check and see what codes came back. The electronic brake control module is for the antilock brakes and the traction control. When you get the codes after driving the vehicle post back with them and I can help you with whatever codes you have.Good luck.

Want to change the brake light bulb on a 2002 Bonnaville. I don't know how to get at the bulbs to put in a new one.

you'll have to pop the trunk and pull back the trim to access some screws that hold the entire tailight assembly in... once you get the assembly off, just twist and pull the socket and the bulb will come out....

I replaced mine - it is easy - this is right from the manual
open trunk, turn screws located inside of trunk counterclockwise (on the inside where the tail light is), remove the plastic piece, pull carpeting away remove the 3 nuts holding the lamp in place and the lamp will pull out. Press the release and turn bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it.
