Have a 1999 chrysler seabring coup started fine yesterday morning drove kid to school came home put brakes on it started it pump the brakes few time put n reverse died wont start

HI,THAT IS A USUAL ISSUE RELATED TO THE ELECTROMAGNET WHICH IS ENGAGED ON "P or N" position.Charge your battery overnight, try your handbrakes,if they work fine, just leave the car in whenever you stop and put your handbrake on.This won discharge then the battery unless there is a unrelated electrical fault in the system.

Resolving battery dying out and discharge light dosen't come on?

Discharge light will actually only come on when the alternator is not putting out its normal 13.5 - 14.5 volts. Sounds to me your alternator is fine, your battery has some dead cells, and will go dead soon as you shut off your engine. Battery is not accepting the charge the alt. is giving it. New battery is needed.

The stall in reverse is most likely unrelated to your problem, unless your alternator went bad, and your battery is discharged. Try charging/replacing your battery. A jump start may not work as Dodge trucks don't like to idle well with a weak battery. Then try starting again, if it runs check the voltage at the battery. You should have 13-14.5 volts, if not you have a dead alternator. If it still won't start, please post some more details.

Battery discharge and my car can not shift from park to reeverse

ok, this question is vey brief and does not ask specific enough, but i will assist with it

if the battery is discharged, then you will not be able to move it out of park, this is due to a shift lock solenoid that is being incorporated into cars now.
it came about by kids jumping into the front seat starting the car and putting it into reverse

now it requires the igntion on, but the brake pedal pressed as well.

now the the ignition on is a problem if the battery is discharged, becasue the shift lock solenoid is not receiving this input and therefore you are stuck in park

there is a shift lock solenoid overirde on some cars, but i dont belive there is one on yours

SECONDLY
battery discharged, whether it was caused by leaving the lights on, a faulty battery, or an faulty charging system(alternator) is a guess

i hope this helps

Battery goes dead every 24 hours. had battery checked good.

have alternator checked may have bad diode, allowing reverse current. If ok can start pulling fuses and put an amp meter across with keys out to find where drain is coming from.

1999 ezgo golf cart.need to know the whole wireing system for this cart. I put new batterys in and ihave a short somewhere cause know it want do nothing.the reverse beeper want come on nor will the cart...

When you removed the batteries, a certain procedure MUST be followed. Key switch off, switch to tow position and shift lever in reverse. You must wait until the beeper unit sound dies out then remove the wire from the most NEGATIVE cable. Place in Neutral before installing new batteries. There is a specific sequence to putting the batteries in an EZ-GO cart. Failure to follow this procedure will kill the controller. The Key switch must be off and the maintenance/tow switch MUST be in the tow position when connecting the batteries. Any of the above will cause the controller to fail, due to improper discharge of the PRE-Charge capacitors.

What,s happening when you make a mistake during charging a car you used + and - wrong way?

You put the positve on your ground and the negaive on your positive. At the very least any reverse biased diodes are more than likely now burned open.

There is no power to start my 2006 mustang

Easy to fix! you have to put it in drive and have a friend help you push in reverse for about 1/2 mile and it will recharge the hidden capacitors in the onboard computer. If they completely discharge like yours has just recharging the battery alone won't work.
Glad to help!
