Turn signal problems

My turn signals are frozen. I changed the bulbs and the fuse and they still wont do anything. They come on on both sides but they are froze.

I have the same problem with the steady turn signals. At first I could turn the truck off and it would resolve itself but now it's been going on for 3 days. I think I need to replace the swtich - I read that there is a problem with the 1994-2004 Ford switches but the part is $75.00 and so I'm hesitating to try it unless I'm sure it's going to work.

Try adjusting your steering column tilt and see if a different position fixes it. Otherwise the switch in the steering column is most likely faulty.

Front right and back right turn signal wont work but the front left and back left do

first check the bulbs on that side by visual or changing to the other side if you can't see that well if the bulbs from the front and back work or are good when checked the flasher has blown out on one side and you have to replace it other possible cause could be a broken wire for the right side lights so look at the connectors for that side front & back if all is good one more thing could do this the actual turn signal lever that you use to activate the signals could be bad for the right side especially if it does not go back to the normal position after making a turn and the steering wheel rotates back to it's normal position but the turn signal lever does not click back to the center position this would burn out that side from the signal constantly being on good luck stephen

You have a Burned Out Bulb on the LEFT side or the FLASHER has gone bad *(YES, it can only effect one side). It also controls the BLINKERS and FLASHERS TOO

My turn signals do not work

First anytime you do any electrical work on ur car disconect the battery cable until ur finished. Then you wont have to worry about causing any shorts or blowing other fuses etc.
I dont see how the alternater has anything to to with ur turn signal. It keeps the battery charged when u use lights radio etc. You did not say if its one turn signal or all turn signals that dont work. It could be a bulb. One bad bulb will cause the others not to work , normally one side of the car.Mostly left and right sides of the car is on a different circuits.
If it is all of them not working , it could be the switch in ur steering colum thats bad.Its the switch that the handle u move to turn the turn signals on and off.You would normallytake off the steering wheel to fix that switch. But its a bigger jpb , a pain.So make sure its not a bulb or a fuse first and make sure ur useing the right amp fuse.If its not that. Then id check the conection where the bulb screws into the socket. There can be corrosion there and that can cause a bad conection.Besides a bad bulb thats always been the number one reason my turn signals have not worked. You just have to keep eliminating the possibilities. Keep checking.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

95 grand marquis no turn signals changed the switch still didnt work changed the lcm no change all the fuses are good . next problem have no climate control nothing lights up fuses are good thank you

check the turn signal flasher, also check the bulbs some autos, are designed to do this.
If there is a blown bulb, the turn signal on that side will not blink, but will burn steady to tell the driver,a short in wiring can also cause this

Driver front turn signal does not blink. front

This may have more then one bulb in the front or possibly a bad socket try wiggling the new bulb in the socket to see if it will work.Compare all turn signal lights that come on the passenger side to those drivers side. Some vehicles also incorporate sidemarker lights with the turn signals.

2001 Explorer Sport ,Rear Driver Brake Light and Turn Sig. Broke

Rear lights are double filament bulbs one side for the lights other side for the brake/turn signals so it still may be a bulb. Do u have a test light or volt meter you can check to make sure u have power there when brakes or turn signals are activated. Or just try another bulb.

Turn signal will not ''flash'' on /off-cops pulled me over about it

The problem is most likely not a bulb and certainly not a fuse but the 'flasher'. The flasher is located under the driver's side A/C duct above the fuse box. It just plugs in so you shouldn't need any tools.
