Mechanics how to change heater in daewoo lanos1998

What if you borrow battery to your friend try it,after starting you can change the battery and don't switch it off before you change the battery

I have the same prob but i let the car start up for about 5 min and the hot air comes out

as i told the last "mechanic"... i can copy and paste from alldata too but people want real answers. do you have to remove the whole dash or what instrument panel? or dont you know because you "copied and pasted"?

Go to your local parts place and ask for a print out.

it is the heater core it is located behind the dash im a certified mechanic and have replaced many of these

A non-operating heater could result from a thermostat that is stuck open, keeping the engine from getting up to normal operating temperature; but if that was happening then you would probably have a check engine light on too.
More likely you have either a stuck or broken temperature control for the heater. Temperature controls are either cable-, or vacuum-operated. Find yours in the heater hose somewhere and see whether you can move the linkage on it. If that causes the heater to work, then you have found your problem. If not, then you may have a clogged heater core, which would probably mean replacement (much more expensive than a thermostat replacement, unfortunately).
Btw, your mechanic does not sound too interested in figuring out what the problem is.

Well, broken timing belt causes valves to break, valves can be changed but if your mechanic wants to change whole engine then you have to change a mechanic. I had broken timing belts on few cars and never needed to change whole engine. Unless second hand engine is cheaper then new valves for it.

Hi, I have a 1997, Daewoo celio 1,5 I and the cam belt snapped. I dont think that the pistons hit the valves but I cant be sure, I have a new belt and woud like some info on how to go about changing the belt and setting the timing on this car. I am not a novice mechanic but need some advise. Thanks Brent
