Question about 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee

3 Answers

Unknown problem My 95 Jeep G C won't start. I just put a new battery in it and it does try to turn over but just can't. I am wondering if it could be the plugs or starter, but after reading your reply to someone eles's problem I am thinking it could be fuel pump. Thanks for any help you can give.

Does it turn over slow? if not the fuel pressure and spark need to be tested, there is a known problem with the crank sensor, that will cause a no start, let me know about the cranking speed.

Problem maybe the anti theft security really buggy device when ever it looses power the security system comes on you have to put your key in driver door and unlock it even if its unlocked.... this will happen also if you unlock any door other than the driver's door first

Hello sambino, yes that is the name of the part, I was just giving another Jeep owner with same problem a answer. I believe my crank sensor was replaced but not sure if that helped, we did a diagnostic on it and I ended up going to a junk yard for much cheaper than a parts store or dealership quoted me. This sounds far fetched but it fixed the problem. It is a part that is behind your overflow canister. It is rectangler shape and on firewall on passenger side. Make sure the part numbers match! Good Luck.

Try checking the battery and battery leads. Sounds as though you have a bad battery. Also check your fuses under the hood and dash.

95 wrangler wont start

Please refer to this solution: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1016149-1989_jeep_cherokee

It's probably the A/C relay under the hood indeed. And your battery might have gone bad too.

My 95 grand cherokee starts fine but isnt charging

Pretty sure the regulator on those is in the computer (I know...really dumb...) There is a way to wire around it using an older style regulator but it will keep the check engine light on and may not pass inspection like that.

Power windows won t work

There are broken wires in the wiring harness between the frame and your driver's side door. These wires control all the windows and door locks in a 95 Jeep. Same thing happened to me. You will have to cut the rubber boot to get it off and check which wires are broken and repair them.
