Question about 1992 GMC Suburban
I got my A/C charged after who knows how long of it not working. Drove around town, shutting off and cranking several times. Finally, one time it would turn over but not start...
Tested for fire at the distributor and it had fire...assumed fuel pump...beat on tank while spinning the motor...no crank...
Pulled a spark plug wire and checked for fire...started...haven't had the problem since.
I am planning on taking this vehicle to the beach and I want to replicate the problem before I drive it several hours away from home and then it not start on me.
What possibly could it be?
I have had problems with my 92 Suburban running ruff loss of spark and some other problems. First check all your grounds I did this first . What I found was the problem on mine is the seating compound in the main harness block that is on the firewall when I opened it I found all the connection were full of compound because of hot weather and the engine compartment getting hot had overtime caused the seating compound to seep into connectors causing them to loose connection. You can get a spray solvent from a electric supply company this is worth checking out it only has one bolt in the center that holds the block together. Remember to disconnect the ground from the battery before starting. I really do hope this helps you.
