I have a 95 toyota 4 runner sr5 v6. It is not getting good gas mileage. I have changed the air filter and the spark plugs and nothing has changed.

After a good tune-up may other factors affect your gas mileage, tire pressure, acceleration, traffic conditions, driving habits, etc. The only thing you can do is make sure its well tuned, has regular oil changes, clean filers and drive like a 90 year old lady! Outside of that, think about getting a newer more fuel efficient car.

Do I need to change plugs and wires at 107 k kms

Look inside your owners manual in the service and appearance care section, in this section the manufacturer specifies what mileage to perform certain tasks, leaving worn spark plugs in your engine could cause gas mileage to suffer, poor engine performance, cylinder misfires which can cause damage to the catalytic converter assembly, if your manual says to change them at that mileage change them with a good quality spark plug that has the ability of doing the same mileage interval of the original ones....

What mileage do change 2006 toyota highlander spark plugs 3.3 v6

i would chande the plugs at or around 60,000 to 70,000 miles. this is about the correct mileage. they may last longer but not worth the expensence of converter damage due to misfire and also gas mileage loss.

Spark plugs

There are many types of fancy plugs out there today. Most will promise one thing or another, and cost more than they should.

Best bet is the OEM plug that came with it. Dodge/Chrysler normally comes with Champion plugs.

They are good and you won't go wrong with them. Your owners manual an local parts store as well will have the part numbers.

As far as mileage goes, proper maint such as air filters, oil changes, and tune ups are the biggy. Second, driving gently instead of like you are in an episode of COPS can make a huge impact on economy. Proper tire inflation is helpful also.

Stay away from those Gimmick Spark Plugs , they are just more money for nothing. A good platinum spark plug is all you need, the key is to gap it correctly to your application...

On GM products Vin # W it is .045 plug gap
On Gm products Vin # Z it is .035 plug gap

You will not have huge gains in fuel mileage from replacing spark plugs except to say that if your old ones are just extremely bad, there is no magical spark plug with extra mileage manufactured into it.... Hope this helps...

Rough running at idle

Get the code scanned to find out what exact POXXX code is stored in the ECM, this will help you big time.

Also plugs should be platinums that are good for 90-100K miles.

Bad gas mileage is from the Check engine light being on.
