1994 honda accord car shake on reverse gear

I have 1994 honda accord runs very good. I didn't do any thing yet. It doesn't vibrate when I shift it in drive (D) gear. My problem is, when I shift to the reverse (R), my car shake or vibrate the car + steering wheel. Is there any way you can tell or help me what was the problem why was doing this?

Check the drivers side mount and the rear mount.they are the most likely of the mounts tocause that also check the condition of all your ignition components and lastly the engine may have counterbalance shafts in the timing cover...my h22a does and if that belt breaks it causes whole car vibration is seperate belt from cam and crank belt

There are adjustable rubber plugs where the hood closes.

What would cause my 1994 honda accord to only catch reverse but no other gears i changed the shift solenoid but didnt help the car only catches gears if i slowly press the gas if i press normally it wont...

possible that clutch has failed, to test do following
switch off engine and put gear into 4th, with brakes on try to start
engine while in gear. if the engine starts switch it off straight away

this confirms your clutch has failed, if engine stalls your clutch is good.but could mean that the clutch activator is not working. either way
recomment you see a qualified dealer or machanic about this issue.

I hope this was helpful

I have a 91 honda accord with an automatic trans. & when i shift into reverse it refuses to engage & makes a high pitch gear slipping grinding sound ! NOT GOOD ! ,I just replaced the transmission con

Definitely not good. The transmission is slipping internally due to worn gears and clutch packs. It will have to come out for rebuilding, IMO. Have a transmission shop check it out.
Good luck.

Automatic Transmission shifting problems.

i had the same thing...It's the transmission. It's REALLY noticeable shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I was able to get my transmission fixed for 900 bux. That wasn't even a replacement so i can imagine how much it would cost to get it replaced. The shifting will get worse. By the end of my "experience" it wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd for about 5 minutes until i drove it around for a bit. THen it would "warm up" to the idea of shifting to 2nd gear.

Vibration at 60 mph

The first thing to have checked is the wheel balance, if they are good then you need the brake system and wheel bearings checked. Please let me know if this does not help as there are a few more specific problems that could cause vibration.
