Lol depending on your year take out your driver side front speaker and in the top right theres a little plastic piece spin it towards you and theres a switch click it its a fun way to mess with your friends too
Funny: My mechanic has changed both O2 sensor's, thinking this would take care of the problem. And he didn't show knowledge of disconnecting the battery cable. He thinks now it has something to do with the transmission. He also never mentioned any thing about the RED check engine soon flag, and why wouldn't he reset that for me???? I am going to try the negative disconnect for ten minute solution. THANKS
Hi Kiwalk
You have to take your Negitive battery cable off for ten minutes, With all door closed ignition off. and be careful not to touch the Negitive and Positive cable together. After the ten minutes Hook back up your Negitive and tighen firmly. Now you check engine light should be off now, Now if the Light turns back on after driving a couple of miles you may have to bring it a sevice center to find out what the code is, And fix the problem. I sure hope that helps you out.

Toyota delaerships set the engine lights to turn on when autos reachh specific mileage such as 5000,10000,15000,20,000 25,000 etc. They get customers to come into the dealership and spend money unnecessarily for an engine check when there is actually nothing wrong with the autos. I purchased my Scion in 2006 and have to deal with this on-going probl;em since that time, my car just turned 45,000 and the "Check Engine" light just came on.
