Parking lights stay on after turning off 2002 chevy venture van

My father also has the same problem with his 2002 Chevy Express 1500 van. The parking lights stay on after the ignition is turned off. My first guess is a bad headlight switch, but just thinking out loud, since the remote keychain entry often causes these lights to flash, I'm going to ask him to change the battery in his remote and give that a try first.

SOURCE: 2001 chevy venture van and i cannot turn the key

While turning the key rotate the steering wheel left and right. If there is too much tension on the parking lock the key cannot be turned.

I an '03 Chevy Venture van whose windshield wipers won't go down.

Your windshield arm is in need of repositioning. Take off the cap on the windshield arm and loosen the nut under the cap. Reposition the arm so that it faces 180 degrees flat to the passenger side of the car. Tighten the nut. This should solve the problem you've described.

Fault code p0440 CHevy venture

I had that exact code a couple weeks ago. Mine needed new oxygen sensors. They(there are 2, only one was throwing a code, but I had both replaced) cost a little over $100 to have replaced.

Lighting problem on 2000 chevy vetura

I have over 300k miles on my 2000 Venture. When the lights start flickering at low RPM's, the alternator or battery might be going bad. I would have it tested (for free) at the local AutoZone or Napa. The alternator SHOULD last 80-150,000+ miles. Its a real pain to change out on the Venture vans.

Sometimes I wonder if the van just doesn't create enough juice to run all of the accessories since even when batery and alternator are new they flicker once in a while when a component turns on.

I get zapped year round by my cars, even in high humidity. It is not harmful, but be careful at gas stations!
