Question about 1995 Isuzu Trooper
I have a 1994 Trooper which decided to act weird last night. The dash lights came on (low fuel, battery, oil, auto cruise) for no apparant reason. There was a odor (wiring??) and smoke. I could not find any source on a quick inspect; when the vehicle was stopped, the smoke stopped. My mechanic b-i-n thinks it may be the ECM. I've seen some other fixes for the alternator. The vehicle is running/starting fine but I am nervous about the smoke/smell.
You probably have a wire shorting out on the ECM which means it will probably have to be rewired
the smell from the wire will be there for a while.
