You have to find out what is rattling. Is it the glove box door? If so, check the lock mechanism. Some are adjustable. If it is not adjustable then look for a missing rubber stop on the sides. If one is missing a piece of stick on door seal will work if you cannot locate the stop.

1998 Buick LeSabre when heat is off there is a loud rattling noise when heat is on the rattling noise goes away what is this

Something is stuck in your blower fan. There should be a access door behind your glove box. Drop your glovebox down out of the way, open the panel, there may be a filter for you to pull out, clean it all out, and re assemble.

Heat shield rattling noise engine

Go to a a large hardware store and buy 2 band clamps that will fit around the heat shields and clamp them tight. This is the manufacturers approved fix for heat shield rattle. The fix sure beats the $1000.00 for a new catalytic converter assembly. I have done this fix dozens of times over the years of my car repair career.

My polo s tdi is some times very noisy when tickin over rattling like noisy tappets it goes away when I rev it or am driving it.

That is probably 'pinking' - it happens when your spark plugs are not correctly aligned, timing is off or plugs are very dirty or need replacing.

2000 ford escort rattling when idling

It could be just a bracket...when metal heats up it expands..you could have just a simple loose piece of bracket...remember..if it ain't broke don't fix it....I had a pickup that did the same thing too me..drove me nuts..I found a couple pennies in the glove box that were making the noise..always check the simple things first

How do I get the glove compartment to stop rattling?

Get it fixed under warranty. My 04 and your 06 have the same glove box. The right hinge was rattling around in mine and they replaced it no problem. Not worth trying to fix yourself :)
