Engine knock on excellrating dosent knock idiling

If you have csfi, the fuel pressure is 60--66 psi, key on engine off.

Check the coils, there may be a bad coil. That lets moisture in it, and causes the engine to mis fire. God-Bless! Its worth a try!

intake tube has leak or mass air flow sensor is bad. check the bottom of intake tube for cracks. use only a dealer mass air flow sensor if no leaks are found. pep boys mass air will kick the same code

Dosent sound good. Oil light on means you lost oil pressure. and the knocking sound is the damage done due to low pressure. Start looking for another engine or another van.

I would say no its not normal may need to change O2 sensor or the cat. showing the missfire could be from the O2 sensor. ez test if it happends agian is unpulg the O2 and see if the idile changes if it dosent replace O2 sensor.

Sounds like a main or connecting rod bearing is starting to go.Need to be more specific of when and how often it dose this.Also how many miles on engine.If your talking 100,000 or more its definitly a bearing.The more your run this engine (if its a bearing) the more damage your doing.Either way it dosent sound good.If this is a 350 or 305 engine if the oil wasent changed regularly these engines are known for bearing knocks.

If this is a loud knock from lower part of the engine then its the crank bearings, I personally think that the engine is done.

Go to Auto Zone to check OBD code and that will have solutuion with hesistation. Could be bad coil.

engine oil level?? if its correct then look for another engine ,but before you do get a mechanic to have a listen first ,might just be a valve lifter ,or the flex plate on the torque converter broke ,really need to hear it to tell you what it is
